I enjoyed my time at the turtle program. As a volunteer, I received a lot of insight on the life of turtles. Since they represent an endangered species, they are highly protected and it was a great experience to be part of this.

I got the chance to be very close to the animals (e.g. Cleaning their shell and body, feeding them) and plenty of information about the different kinds of turtles, their way of living in the sea and the turtle base itself.

The transportation to the program was well organized. Accommodation and food were set on hotel standards, which surprised me very positively. Even though the daily walk to the base was long and the work most times physically challenging, I would recommend it to everyone who has a feeling for animals and is up for demanding tasks.
